I just love this drink! It is warming, nutritious, delicious and I would say practical as well.

Ingredients:

3-4 lemons
Root of ginger
Roots of turmeric
Cinnamon

Instructions:

Peel the lemons, ginger and turmeric and mix all ingredients in a mixer.

Pour in an ice cube tray and put in the freezer. When you feel like have a cup of this warming and nourishing drink just put a frozen cube in a large cup of hot water.

I normally drink mine in the morning with my daily dose of collagen powder. Sometimes I add a bag of a nice antioxidant rich pomegranate tea in there as well – yummie!

This drink is perfect for cold winter mornings.

What makes this lemon and ginger drink so nutritious?

The lemons contain vitamin C as well as phytonutrients, that aid the body’s detoxification system, as well as protecting the skin against oxidative stress.

Turmeric is one of the most antiinflammatory substances there is. Ginger also has antinflammatory properties as well as supporting the immune system.

Cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar levels and has antiinflammatory properties.
