My name is Lina Åhlén, I’m a Swedish nutritionist specialised in nutrition for skin health. I have worked as an nutrition educator, speaker and writer since 2010. 

Skin health is my area of ​​interest and I am passionate about spreading the message about how our diet, nutrition and lifestyle can strengthen and protect our skin.

Nutrition is so much more than energy, it is needed for all processes in the body to take place, for example certain vitamins and minerals are needed in the formation of collagen.

Another example is the nutrients found in plants that help to protect against damage caused by UV-radiation.

My experience

Since 2010 I have worked as a writer for the magazine Health and functional medicine. I have also had assignments as a researcher, including developing a formula for an anti-acne supplement. During that assignment I delved into how different nutrients and intestinal flora affect the development of acne. It is incredible how the health of the gut can affect the health of the skin!

My education

I have a bachelor of Science in Nutritional (Hons) with a Functional Medicine approach from CNELM and Middlesex University in England as well as a degree in project management from Uppsala, Sweden.

My mission

With the knowledge about the power of nutrition for skin health and how our choice of foods affect the skin, which I have acquired over the years, I’m on a mission to help others improve their skin health and feel amazing at the same time!
